The Shooting at the Gates(Photo raid) project aims to restate and regain the outstanding value of Transilvania's fortified churches in the perspectives of culture and tourism. The first step is a photo journey in Sibiu County . The participants will pass through picturesque locations full of charm, loaded with historical events but currently ignored and in an advanced state of damage .
The places we intend to visit are not part of a tourist's tour , although they have a great social and historical value and the sceneries are beautiful.
The studies show that the foreign tourists' interest towards Romania has increased lately. Unfortunately, due to precarious media campaign, this interest is focused only on certain popular objectives often deprived of any information of cultural background.
One of the goals of pur ngo is to draw in the travel circuit places with high potential not yet known to the mainstream tourism practices.
From over 150 building that made it through the years, on the The UNESCO List of World Patrimony are only the ones at Valea Viilor, Biertan, Viscri, Saschiz, Prejmer, Darju and Calnic - only a few are candidates for restoration. Most of the churches have been built in the 13-14 centuries.
Our enterprise is meant to attract public attention on this matter and to revive a link between an somehow forgotten age and it's current descendants. The outcomes of this photo raid will consist in photos and a video log. The photos will focus on the two main aspects: people and places. The life of medieval churches in modern times. All the materials will be shown in public through a series of exhibitions in Romania and all Europe.

CD Multimedia Biserici Fortificate - 30 LEI
CD-ul contine o harta interactiva, schite, animatii, descrieri si galerii foto de la 44 de biserici fortificate, legende si dictionar de termeni, toate acestea fiind accesibile printr-o interfata intuitiva . Scopul demersului este sa salveze acest patrimoniu valoros prin includerea lui in itinerariile cultural-turistice. CD-ul este disponibil in 7 limbi (romana, germana, engleza, franceza, maghiara si spaniola si catalana) si prezinta informatii detaliate asupra regiunii si a bisericilor (inclusiv cele 7 lacase aflate pe lista Patrimoniului Mondial UNESCO), furnizand o imagine mai clara a mostenirii culturale sasesti din Transilvania. Pretul include taxele postale.
- O plimbare călare peste dealuri şi prin păduri
- O excursie până în cetatea medievală Sighişoara (un simpatic orăşel gotic în inima Transilvaniei)
- Miere naturală pe care puteţi să o gustaţi, dar si să priviţi cum ea se extrage din cuibul de albine.
Ele pot fi găsite doar în câteva locuri din Europa, iar în Transilvania existau mai mult de 300 de biserici săseşti fortificate.
